PCOS Diet

I created this page to list the resources I recommend for finding the best PCOS diet. There’s everything from books to full diet programs. I will add to the list whenever I find good new resources:

Insulite is probably the best known and most respected provider of a fully-tailored PCOS diet program. They have a great deal of experience in reversing Insulin Resistance. They provide consultations, diet and exercise plans and excellent supplements. This is the best program for you if you need step-by-step guidance and someone you can talk to when you hit a stumbling block. Also, you will receive the most important element of their program – their nutraceuticalsClick here to learn more about the Insulite System.

PCOS Diet Books

Thankfully, there are many more books and resources available to women with PCOS than when I was first diagnosed. Some of the best books that have helped me over the years were written by Colette Harris and Theresa Cheung. From a reader’s point of view, they don’t always flow logically but the information in them is exceptional.

You will hear me (and others) talk a lot about Insulin Resistance in relation to PCOS and a book that comes highly recommended to me is The Insulin Resistance Diet (Buy from Amazon US | Amazon UK) written by Cheryle Hart and Mary Kay Grossman.

Other Useful Programs and Books

A newer resource I’ve come across is the 21 Day Sugar Detox. This isn’t aimed solely at women with PCOS but rather the millions of people that are addicted to sugar. It truly is an epidemic. Many women with PCOS also have insulin resistance and are more likely to develop Type II Diabetes. This means a program that removes your dependence on sugars would be extremely useful in helping you combat and avoid those issues.
