Welcome to PCOS Matters

Welcome to the "new look" PCOS Matters website...

Active ImagePCOSMatters.com has had a re-vamp!

Please take some time to look around and see what the new site has to offer to you as a PCOS sufferer or someone who thinks they may have PCOS.

We have a new forum where you can ask questions about different aspects of Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome or offer advice based on your own experience. You will need to register in order to start posting.

I will gradually be adding more and more articles, resources and information about PCOS and related topics, plus on this blog I will be writing about my own PCOS story and how I am dealing with it using purely natural treatments.

So, take a look round and let me know what you think, and make sure you check back regularly to see what's new. You can click on the subject links on the left for the topic that most interests you, or click the links at the top of the page.

To your good health!

Lisa

My PCOS Story Introduction

23rd September 2007

Why have I created a section of the new PCOS Matters website entitled "My PCOS Story"? Why would I want to share my PCOS story with you and why, on earth, would you want to read about it?

The are a number of reasons I have chosen to do this:

  1. to show I am a real woman living with PCOS, just like you
  2. to encourage you that you are not alone in this and we all face daily challenges from our PCOS
  3. to also encourge you not to let PCOS rule your life and to discover that life is what we make of it
  4. to show you the ways I am pursuing good health through alternative medicine and natural therapies.

I know not everyone will choose to follow the same route I am in their PCOS story which is why I am also encouraging to write about your own experiences with PCOS.

We often hear that keeping a journal is good for our emotional wellbeing and so I would urge you to start your own PCOS story in the dedicated section within the forum. You may be happy taking certain medications, you may be trying to conceive, perhaps you are a medical or natural health practitioner and want to share some of the things you have learnt about Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome.

Writing your PCOS story will not only have a therapeutic effect for yourself but could help many other women reading your posts.

Please go to the forum, register, start your own thread and post your own experiences with PCOS (life in general) as often as you feel comfortable and able.

To view my story, simply click on the link in the left-hand column that says "My PCOS Story".

Thank you,

Lisa
